RE:PLAY, returns with special guest MARTIN BRODIN and host DJ Ben Osborne.
Featuring only one seminal guest DJ each month, RE:PLAY is a back to basics club night that gives guest DJs space to express themselves in full length sets.
This month sees Martin Brodin, one of Scandinavia’s most influential deep house exponents, take to the decs.
Brodin is the founder of Sweden’s deep-house labels, Deeplay Music and Soultec, and the MB Disco neo disco imprint.
He emerged on the international scene in 1990s as a key figure in the deep house wave sweeping through Scandinavia. His Deeplay imprint became a flagship of the movement.
Since then his fluid DJ style has seen his love of early Chicago house develop into a deeper jazz tinged period, followed by a recent return to his roots in disco.
A skilled producer, he’s recently re-worked Georgio Morodor’s The Chase, while his own compositions have featured on such seminal labels as Buzzin Fly, Mood Music and Seamless.
Martin started his neo disco imprint MB Disco in 2010, releasing on point records by Ilija Rudman, Ray Mang, Chicken Lips and Drop Out Orchestra.
His own releases for the label, such as Gamma Ray and Blood Stud, have been hammered by the likes of Aeroplane, The Revenge, The Glimmers and Tensnake – to name a few admirers.
Martin will be making a rare London appearance at May’s Re:Play.

Yes We KAN’T back at Momo Fri 20th August
by Tom on Aug.15, 2010, under clubs

After a month spent mostly playing in large fields, it’s time to return to our favourite West End basement on Friday 20th Aug.
Following some riotous one-offs, Yes We KAN’T returns to its irregular monthly mash-up in the fashionable confines of Momo, with residents Ben Osborne and Severino.
Expect nothing but the finest party eclecticism as jackin house meets Seventies funk rock, salsa meets glitched disco and drum n bass. Dancing on the tables is optional but may prove irresistable.
Entry is free all night, email noiseofart@gmail.com for details.
